dog

dog - object writing - Furry & friendly
Likes to give hugs, chews our socks if we leave them lying around, I don't always leave my sock lying around, my husband does. I shove mine into one of many full laundry baskets. I haven't done laundry in ages I haven't done the housework either. I'm absorbed in writing new material but I fear it at the same time because I never do anything with it. Each time I write a song I think o how it would sound live, acoustically or with a band and how I would get the performance across. Then I think of it falling flat on it's face & people thinking I'm right up my own arse thinking I've something worth being out in the public domain. Then again when I have done so in the past I've received compliments, but I'm for some reason always weary of that also because I think a lot of compliments arise out of nervousness, of coming face to face with someone who is uncomfortable at the silence of the encounter & who just blurts out something positive sounding while no really meaning anything behind it.
I have in the past gone into complete meltdown over this. But then again I had regular meltdowns and not for any reason other than taking everything so seriously & being consumed by fears. I was notorious for putting words into others' mouths & thoughts into their heads, and of course, the reality is that I'm not that bloody important. I never knew I did this.
I always wish I was harder, rougher, carefree and didn't practice holding others opinions in such high esteem & value.
The dog is wandering around the house now he is bored, I haven't walked him yet & he hates hanging around.
He's wagging his tail at me & flopping around the place, I know if he could speak he would ask to please be let out to play.
I'm sitting in my pyjamas with last nights make up still on & feeling quite scummy.
I haven't even brushed my teeth.
