Future lyrics - Soft Rock

by Mary Casey
(Tulsa, OK)

Future lyrics

(chorus)
Too bright to see, too loud to hear
But my mind is set
And the water's clear

(1st verse)
Diving in with a pair of paper wings
I start to fly and my heart sings
But the moment's gone, the water stings
And as my paper wings dissolve
It seems like nothing was resolved

(chorus)

(2nd verse)
Diving deeper I begin to find
what I had pictured in my mind
My paper wings are sinking slow
Down to where the seaweed grows
Something's resting in the sand
Is it chance or was it planned?
Not a diamond, not a gem
But I pick it up and drink it in
