How I Write Lyrics

by Ladiie Vee

Since I started writing lyrics, My lyrics ended up being truthful & very emotional. I didn't know why at first... But then I realised that my lyrics revolve around me, so I must revolve around my lyrics. Most of my lyrics are total truth, based on truth, or completely fiction. It depends on my mood, or if something is happening to me in my life.

I could get writers block, but as soon as I start writing again, I'd write about 10 at the most in a day, and in my opinion... all of them at a high standard. Because I've been writing for so long, I can say that I know how to write a song, just by experience. Although you could get beginners that are brilliant at writing but don't understand the meaning of the message we try to bring across, we try to relate to as many people's situations as we can by using our own experiences, or a dip of our own.

The tip for beginners is to write as many lyrics as they can, and then get somebody to read over them. Naturally they would tell you if they could feel something special just by reading the lyrics which doesn't yet have any music... so if it already has the strength of tapping into somebody's emotions, they have something special.

And that's just in my own experience, I've had a complete stranger cry because they could feel the emotion that I put in, just by using my own, friends or even made up experiences.

Hope this helped. (:
