I liked it. There wasn't a predictable rhyme scheme, which is always a plus. And you had some good one-liners in there. I especially liked, "And although I said its okay, I don’t know if that’s what I meant to say. Lines like that are great, because it's so real. People say and think that exact thing all the time, so it really hits home.

My only critique is that the whole idea of the song is a little generic. I rarely see anybody write a song that isn't about a relationship or love. And though everyone may want to write about a former love, I think it's been done to much. But at least this time around it was well written.

Great writing for the topic at hand. I would challenge you to write about ideas/experiences that are outside the box, and you could really have something great.
