This thing isn’t filled with guts and glory No, it’s a much sadder uglier story Chock full of holes and lies All the things that big money buys Don’t close your eyes or turn your head Look around now before we’re all dead You want me to fight this war Then give me something worth fighting for! Not flag draped coffins they try to hide I don’t want to be part of the grand disguise They twisted your fear, pumped up your faith Now bottle your tears when they disgrace your graves Is it worth it for profit and greed? For all the things you think you need? You want me to fight this war Then give me something worth fighting for! I’m not just a face or a name on a list Think of me as your brother or the boy you kissed War doesn’t make heroes and villains It just goes on ‘til nobody needs killing So wake up now before it’s too late Stop this madness, end this hate Don’t sell us cheap, don’t write us off We’ve done our job, now call a halt!
