Just You And Me Lyrics

by Matt Wright
(Peterborough, Ontario)

Just You And Me Lyrics

As we lock eyes tonight,
Everything seems so damn right,
There's not a star in the sky,
But there's no reason to cry,
When it's just you and me,
For miles to see.

There's a second chance at life,
Get it and feel lucky to be alive,
But I don't need a second chance,
To feel like I'm on top of this world,
As long as you're in my arms,
I'll be the king of this entire world.

Just to keep up with you,
I'll tell you everything your tears put me through,
I can't stand to see you cry,
It makes my happiness die,
No matter how much I had to begin with,
But when you smile,
I swear I could walk one hundred miles.

As we lock eyes tonight,
Everything seems so damn right,
There's not a star in the sky,
But there's no reason to cry,
When it's just you and me,
For miles to see.

I don't know for sure,
If you feel the same as I do,
But I know there's a cure,
For what I feel about you,
Take it for me and love me tonight,
So I know this I feel is right.

I get lost in your eyes,
All the pain I feel surely dies,
The midnight trips around the block,
Walking out our pain,
Staying up all night to carry out our dreams,
To feel each other forever.

As we lock eyes tonight,
Everything seems so damn right,
There's not a star in the sky,
But there's no reason to cry,
When it's just you and me,
For miles to see.
