I'm new to this website but these lyrics are really good! I like the way your rhymes work and it's not so repetitive. It's really original and I wish I could hear it to a tune! good job.

Great work! This is my favourite set of lyrics I have read in a long time... perhaps at the ending illusions could become delusion??? This was very moving and effectively communicated the feelings of the writer.... wonderful

though i do like other styles of music, country music is still my favourite, i am always amazed that just when i think country music has fully matured it re-invents its self, your lyrics are great so keep up the good work

I'm new here but i've been hanging around TAXI and ASCAP for a while so i've read a lot of lyrics.

CW is my genre if one can have one and then that old Texas Road House bluesy sound is my next.

Your lyrics tell a good story. One we've all lived through so the listener can relate.

I believe, until i hear it with a tune, the words need some work. Not work in that it is not a good set of lyrics but in will they fit a tune. A set of chords, rhythms, beats etc.

I believe if you re-work it in a poetic structure you may find some areas where there are too many syllables to fit a tune in some lines.

I'm not being critical of your lyrics, I am only offering up what i feel after reading them over and then trying to put a tune to them.
