Long way Home Lyrics - Rock

by Ben Webster
(Virginia)

Long way Home Lyrics

A good young band is playing,
But they know nothing now
Just fast this scene forward
They’ve hit it big, and they are touring the country,

You delve a little further,
Wanting to know just a little bit more,
Turns out everyone’s a junky
A couple of problems

Success is bringing out the worst in them.
But then a new album comes out.
It’s just as good as the first one, might be better.

They were doing what they loved, nothing could go wrong,
They were gonna be successful, playing their songs,
Nothing could have shaken them, they were already on that road
They were gonna take the long way home

Bad stories and publicized loathing
Comes out with the album,
They can only be together when drunk or high.
They know it won’t last much longer,
At least what they had was good.

Now they’ll be happier, mellower as well,
Enmity and stress are nonexistent,
It all makes you think back, to that time at the club,
If they could’ve known what was in the future,
Would anything have changed?

No, because they were doing what they loved, nothing could go wrong,
They were gonna be successful, playing their songs,
Nothing could have shaken them, they were already on that road
They were gonna take the long way home

They were doing what they loved, nothing could go wrong,
They were gonna be successful, playing their songs,
Nothing could have shaken them, they were already on that road
They were gonna take the long way home
