Lyrics Feedback and Critiques

Would you like feedback on the original lyrics you’ve written? You can publish your original material here. This is a self help forum that will only work if you contribute critiques of other's work before you submit your work.

Please provide two critiques for every submission of your own material that you submit. More than one point of view is healthy as critiques are very subjective.

Please also make your critiques at least two lines of text so they will provide information to the writer. This will assist other songwriters and help you do rewrites based on other’s comments.

Please only submit one song at a time. Otherwise you are free to submit separately more songs as you like (please be reasonable as to the overall amount). Again this is meant to be a meaningful exchange so if you raise a point in a critique, please be constructive and suggests ways to improve the problem you see.

When you submit it will be very helpful to others if they know what your song is for, what genre it is, what you goal is in the song, and what you would like to get out of a critique.

Please also include any tempo, grove or other information you have. You don’t have to go into great detail, the idea is to give others the sense of your song lyric.

The different genres of rock, pop, country, R&B, Christian, and hip hop etc. are often written differently but there will always be central themes common to all. The critical thing is to communicate with the listener.

For everyone who follows the submission guidelines, I will post your submission as soon as I can (usually the same day). Those who don’t follow the guidelines won’t get published.
