On The Edge Of Tomorrow Lyrics - Folk

by Taylor Deneau
(Georgia)

On The Edge Of Tomorrow Lyrics

I am man of constant sorrow
Born on the plain, raised in vein
And I’ll be takin’ that train tomorrow
Along the mountains on its long, sleepy trail
I take my rugged ride
Searchin’ for a new place to hide
But everything inside is just too stale

I’m searchin’ hard but I can’t find
‘cause I got a lot on my mind
Thinkin’ bout the time
Just let everything unwind
And the times we were alone
Where no light shone
In a place we call home
Just on the edge of tomorrow

And I’m not sure, how long I can endure
My mind is in a blur, for I’m so lost without her
And I can confer that your love is my cure
And from what I can refer, you are my happiness on the earth
And I’m just so lost without you
The skies stream with colors so bright and blue
So innocent but yet true
And only if I had a clue
Then maybe I’d know what to do
Or maybe I’m not thinkin’ this through

I’m searchin’ hard but I can’t find
‘cause I got a lot on my mind
Thinkin’ bout the time
Just let everything unwind
And the times we were alone
Where no light shone
In a place we call home
Just on the edge of tomorrow

As this train creeps so slow
I silently watch out the window
I see the rocks and flakes of snow
Picking up as the wind does blow
And as I gaze into this show
I believe I suddenly know
Where I’m bound, my place to go
Where she resides, where her presence does glow
Just west of the river flow
In a place called home

I’m searchin’ hard but I can’t find
‘cause I got a lot on my mind
Thinkin’ bout the time
Just let everything unwind
And the times we were alone
Where no light shone
In a place we call home
Just on the edge of tomorrow

And I am a man of constant sorrow
Born on the plain, raised in vein
And I’ll be comin’ home on that train tomorrow
