Online Thesaurus

Online thesaurus is a valuable tool for quick reference. Here are some of the on line thesaurus available. People searching for an internet thesaurus often misspell it as theosaurus or use the plural thesauruses.

Rogets Thesaurus has word games and access to University of Phoenix courses.

Marriam-Webster is pretty much a full service website. It has various fun activities for you besides looking up your word. For instance they have Word of the Year, Vision Quest, and Come on in and SPELL IT.

It also has Merriam-Webster's Befudiom® Its a idiom word game that lets you draw, act, shout, or spell. You try to mix up meanings and things are easier said than done.

AOL has which includes a translator, world atlas, quizzes & games and numerous categories of science. They use the Marriam-Webster software.

ThinkMap Visual Thesaurus is a unique website that lets you see visually how words are related to each other. They use a very interesting special display. It’s my favorite and worth checking out.

MSN Encarta is online. No fancy games etc but will do the job and give you access to all the Encarta playthings.

WebWord online has basic website that seems to work well.
