Thanks

My Way
by: James Hill

There are many ways to write lyrics. Doc's correct though if they don't read smoothly like poetry then they won't work. If you don't play any instruments try this. Humm a melody to yourself then try to sing the lyrics in the place of that melody. That's one of the ways I was tought to write lyrics to fit a tune was by humming the melody.

Need to go back to the beginning.
by: Doc Haley

I see many lyrics that have potential but they just have not been written in a way that they could be sung along with a tune.

Lyrics are the soul of the song and the music is the body that carries it to the listener.

If lyrics don't read smoothly, like poetry, then they need to be started over again and use the basic information as the template for a set of lyrics that do read smoothly like poetry and can be sung to a simple melody.

If you have a guitar or a keyboard and you cannot play a tune and sing your song, it'll never work.

Best of everything to ya,
Doc
