REO songwriting retreat in BC-is it good?

Question for whoever can answer-I'm considering going to the REO songwriting retreat in BC. After watching the video, it seems that the focus of it is for folk music. I consider myself an alternative songwriter-my songs go from latin cumbia to rock to acoustic rock.

My question is-will this retreat address those genres, or just the folk stuff? If anyone has been and can give me the rundown or their opinion, that would be great. Thanks so much.
