MasterWriter was written by a multi Grammy winning songwriter. Its got everything, The incredible phonetic "sound like" rhyme system similar to Pat Pattison's family rhymes. The additional features I like in Lyricist is its ability to include guitar chord charts and Nashville Numbers in your songs.
Lyricist is produced by Virtual Studio Systems where every member of their team is also a musician. They also have a Transposition feature that is very handy as well as support for using the Nashville Number System. This also is a great feature. The other feature for Lyricist is its low price of under $60. Its a good deal at the price. It you want to take you songwriting to a new level you should try out software for songwriting. MasterWriter 2 offers you a free trial demo. If you decide its not worth it there is no cost to you. However, be warned, once you use it to write a few songs; it will be hard to give it up. The only software for songwriting I know of that's free is VersePerfect developed by Bryant McGill. Lots of people use it and seem to like it. Bryant also is a poet.
